Before I share my project for this week’s Monday challenge with you, I first want to tell you that this will be my final entry as the leader of the Monday Challenge blog for Simon Says Stamp. A new leader will take over there beginning next week, and their challenges will continue. It has been my honor to lead that team since June 2012 (time flies!!!), but if one thing is constant that would be change. Thank you to Simon for the opportunity, and to the AMAZING design team that I was so very happy to lead.
Ah, but time flies and change must happen. I am very excited about some of the new adventures coming my way – I can’t share more just yet but I will share my project for this week’s challenge with you!
Our challenge this week is “tickets” inspired and I got to thinking about a song…
I first applied two of my favorite tickets to the tag, then paste, paint, some brown ink… and things took off! I love the bits and pieces, and how this all came together. How will I use this tag in particular? Well this one will eventually top a birthday gift for a special person who will really appreciate the song reference.
Supplies Used:
Now it is your turn- grab your crafty ticket and join us! Simon is offering a generous $50 voucher that will be randomly drawn from the eligible entries each week. Join the fun by creating a project this week – and for your chance to win a $50 voucher you should hop on over and join in the challenge here.
Fantastic tag! It has been wonderful being part of the dt with you as the leader. Sad to see you go but happy that you have new opportunities. good luck in your new endeavors!
fantastic… as always! You will be MISSED greatly…. you are an amazing and inspirational crafter, leader and friend!
Oh, wow. I love everything you make, I so love your style, that is true. But this ranks up there with a bird canvas you did a while back as my absolute favorite. This is so awesome. I look forward to following along and see what’s coming your way. As always, good luck with it. Michelle t

Such a lovely tag May. Sorry to see you leave simon says stamp team, but looking forward to following your new ventures.
Hi and goodbye, May … Sounds like you’ll be missed.
I think its so cool that you chose the song “ticket to paradise” as a theme, and the hand is a perfect element.
Best wishes for whatever you do next.
We’ll miss you May! Thanks for all of your contributions to the team over the years! It’s been a great journey! Keep in touch! Great tag by the way! 🙂

As always, your tag is packed full of gorgeous texture and detail and I love the Blueprint Sketch colour…just fabulous! Thank you for being such a wonderful team leader and a dear friend, may ~ we’ll miss you so much but good luck for the future! 🙂
This tag is stunning May! I love the colours and textures and the two tickets. Thank you so much for having been such a wonderful DT leader. We will miss you so much!!
Ah, May! Your post left me feeling torn– I was totally giddy about how cool your tag is, but then I was sad to realize that this would be your last post as our fearless leader! 🙁 I didn’t know whether to give you a mental high five for your mad crafting skills (as seen on this project and every other one that creative mind of yours cranks out) or give myself a Kleenex as you move on! All I can say is THANK YOU for keeping all of us on track and sacrificing a lot of time out of your own life to make this team work like a well-oiled machine. I will keep my eye on you (not in a creepy stalker way, but in an “I can’t wait to see what she does next” sort of way!)
