“I scream for…” is our challenge. Well obviously I thought of eyeballs. Then I thought of ink. Then I thought about how much I am loving playing with watercolor pencils + water. Then about the new wood veneer faux embroidery hoops I’ve got…
Then I thought… what if I do all of that, see if it comes together? Here’s the result!
I glued the paper to the hoop first, then worked around it. I think next time I would not glue it until after done embellishing – but still a lot of fun and really like this little project!

love. This.
The embroidery hoop is an awesome little “frame” for this portrait.
Lovely.
Love how she pops from the frame, and the circular frame is awesome!
Such a creative project! Love it! 🙂
I love that quote which works so well with the entire project and the hoop is just perfect to frame your little masterpiece! 🙂
That is so pretty May
Brilliant and beautiful!
This project is incredible, May! The embroidery hoop reminded me of my sweet mother, so it was endearing. Yet you’ve made it modern and fresh with the face, sentiment, and additions. It’s like embroidery with a kick!
