There’s a lot to celebrate with Simon Says Stamp this week! We’ve got a brand new blog, and our Monday challenges also have three fabulous new designers too! So the timing for a “celebrate” challenge!
I realized that I have a birthday card to make, and that I’ve not used my Tim Holtz blueprint birthday stamps in quite a while so I decided to make a card this week. I love how you can layer and color these blueprint stamps – what a fun card to make!
Supplies Used:
CHA starts tomorrow – the semi-annual gathering of crafting manufacturers where new products are revealed! Stay tuned for loads of photos and recaps of the show right here! Right now, I’m off to catch my plane to Vegas! You can follow my travel antics on my Instagram here.
But before I do – a reminder to join the challenge!
Simon is, as always, offering a generous $50 voucher that will be randomly drawn from the eligible entries each week. For your chance to win a $50 voucher you should hop on over and join in the challenge here.
May…your card is wonderful! I love the colors and the design. You have really done Tom’s stamps proud on this! Hugs, Candy
Great celebratory card May, I really love the stitching it adds so much interest to the background. I love your use of imagery and the doily sits perfectly in the backdrop. Tracy x x
May, I love the “blueprint” stamps from Tim Holtz, & you’ve done a wonderful job with them! I love the stitching & the doily adds an additional celebratory touch. The colors are yummy, too. Great job on it! 🙂 Andrea
Such a fun card May!! Love the background, all the layers, and the great colours. A perfect birthday card.
May, your card is beautiful. You are a truly gifted woman.
Thank you for taking me under your wing and for being there for all of the questions I keep throwing at you. 🙂 I have learned so much from you already. I consider myself blessed to be a part of the team. Thank you for your support, and have a great time in Vegas!
This is such a gorgeous card, May. I love your beautiful stmaping and layers. The stitching is such a great addition on this card. Have fun at CHA!! 🙂
What, no details? I’m so accustomed to learning from you, May, I’m getting a little greedy. Here’s a question for you: Do you tend to cut out parts of rub-ons before you use them or just pick a section and rub from the sheet? Love that card.
Saved this in my card folder-this card is fantastic!
Such a pretty card May! Love the cheerful color combination!
This card is amazing! You have such a rare talent for pulling together elements that don’t look like they’d go together. I never would’ve paired Tim Holtz with a doily and a bright green bow, but you made it stunning, as always!
Love this birthday card, May! I love the layered look and the rub ons are so much fun! Hugs, Sandra
Lovin this birthday card!
Beautiful celebration card! Love the resist and the soft shades of blue!
May — this is wonderful!!! What lovely colors and you’ve created the perfect background (amazing stitching details) for your gift. Thanks so much for the inspiration 🙂 — Mary Elizabeth
I just love the soft blues of the background and that touch of stitching along the top! Beautiful birthday card!
