I took a few minutes to ooh and ahhh over this awesome new My Mind’s Eye paper, then I found a way to put it to use.
rule #1: if you’re not using your favorite supplies, then what’s the point?!
I am totally addicted to using papers like this that have just a few patterned accents at key spots that give a layered or detailed look with no effort from me. I find them easy to use, and fun to play with.

I hope you’re having a happy creative day! Between soccer team mom duties x2, a birthday, a BBQ, and some deadlines it has been WILD here, but I tell you I’m so very glad I carved out a bit of time just for me, just to play and make this layout. Because honestly? When is it not busy?! That just is the way of things, and it is up to me to be sure and make time for play.
That is a pretty paper….but then I am a MME addict 😀

Nice layout. I need to overcome my double page spreads only mentality and try just a single page layout. I liked your last comment about making time for yourself. I need to work on that as well as I am also the mother of 2 busy girls. Thanks for making me pause today and realize that!!!!
