I love on-line classes for several reasons:
> it is on your own schedule. You check in when you want, work at your own pace.
> you can substitute, use your own stash, or just watch & learn. You can learn so very much, get so very inspired.
> you can experience classes from comfort of your own home
> take classes from people you’d normally have to travel around the world (or at least country) to see.
Today I want to give a shout out to two of my favorite creative people who have new on-line classes coming in a few weeks!
Kelly Purkey’s famous Sketchbook class is back – or rather it’s an all new class being offered over at Studio Calico. I love Kelly’s style and if you’re wanting some fresh sketches, scraplift inspiration, or just new ideas for your scrapbooking I’d recommend this one for sure.
Sketchbook 4 is a four week class filled with fresh sketches, easy instructions, beautiful examples, and lots of fun. This class is designed to be used at any time and over + over again when you need inspiration.
It is $22, starts April 1, and features not only fabulous Kelly Purkey sketches, but also layouts by contributors as well. You can click here to see more info + sign up.
For most people, taking a class from Tim Holtz is a creative dream. I have had the privilege to do so, and I can tell you that if you ever have the opportunity, DO IT. He is hands down the most inspiring instructor, and so incredibly encouraging and he makes the process of all the wild stuff he does seem so simple. I love that about him. So guess what? He’s at long last launched an on-line class! His first ever! I am so very excited to see this – and the good people at www.onlinecardclasses.com have all the information you need to sign up. It starts March 19 and cost is $37.
You don’t have to buy a thing – but simonsaysstamp.com does have pretty much anything “Tim” you’d ever need. My suggestion would be to watch and learn in class, and think about what you’d actually put to use. You can always go back and re-visit the materials later.
Now, I’ve got to get back to my own on-line class! Still some work to be done… and announcement coming very soon about my next two as well! (yes, I said 2, and one of them is free…)
Thanx for the online class info! I had already signed up for the Tim Holtz class. Last time I checked with my LSS here in NJ they told me they were on a waiting list (7 years) for him to teach a class there. I was thrilled to see an online class.
Thanx for the video! I heard about the punches but a demo is just what I needed. 🙂
Thanks for the online class info. I am signed up for the Tim Holtz class. I would like to take the sketch class, I’ll have to check it out. I missed the last class of yours, looking forward to taking one in the future.
Woo-hoo free class with May. Doing a Happy dance!
I am taking Tim’s online class and am very excited about it.
I’m already all signed up for Tim’s class and just placed a $100++ order with SSS (not that I actually “needed” anything, but there were a few things I had to have!! Thanks for the info about Kelly’s sketch class – i love her!
Oh and I can’t wait to hear all about your new stuff too!
