Camp Scrap is my new Big Picture class.
Studio Calico is a long time fave mfg + kit club of mine.
{put them together and…}
Studio Calico is one of the companies featured (and a prize being given away!) during my class Camp Scrap. Want to know what could make it more fun? They’re giving away a spot in class RIGHT NOW!! Go here to enter: http://studiocalico.blogspot.com/2010/05/sneak-night-giveaway.html
You can also see a sneak of their June kit. I love how they have set sneak day (9pm on 13th of month for me – it’s midnight on 14th EST though) each month and they have a party over on their website. It’s such fun. I feel like adding more fun… want to see a Studio Calico product inspired page?
I created this layout today with their grey (amazing and awesome) rub-ons, sticker letters from the Anthology collection, and a butterfly patterned paper exclusive to one of their kits back in ’09. I used my Martha Stewart big butterfly punch (worth every penny!!) and then felt like the page wasn’t quite done…
I ended up stitching around edge and adding rhinestones and pearls. This is totally a favorite trend in my scrapbooking right now!
I also love how I overlayed the woodgrain rub-on onto the photo. Is that weird to say? Oh well, I do.
Hope you have a most excellent day – and good luck if you go enter to win a spot in class!!
What a great LO! Thanks for pointing us to SC – I just commented on their blog … fingers crossed that it’s me who wins a spot in your class!!!
I am so on the edge of taking this class.I signed up for the giveaway, I think if I don’t win I will sign up any way.
Give it a shot. Loved your guest designer spot with Teresa Collins-those flowers are great.
May Flaum + Studio Calico = BIG TIME FUN!!!! Great write up about your class May…can’t wait!
So cute funny I still have not gotten brave enough to sew on my pages. . .
Great layout – and one I might have to scraplift as it’s not too girly, LOL.
How fun it would be to win a spot in class, and spend my class money on SC goodies instead!
Hi- I love the idea of using fabrics on scrap pages. I love the pop of color of the white page. Also upon scrolling your sidebar and saw your favorites of sweets: Powells Sweet Shoppe- the franchise owner is my brother in law! What a small world sometimes! Your profile pretty much describes me too, except I am a law enforcement officer’s wife instead of a firefighter’s wife. And FYI- I love chocolate too. Thanks for the inspiring ideas of things you post.
love the LO, May!
