weekend is here!

well, almost. A few good things for the weekend:

  • It’s race weekend and that means ghirardelli chocolate, breakfast at the wharf, and sea lions. (I’ll explain monday…)
  • hosting a chat here tomorrow at 7pm PST : http://makingmemoriesforyou.org/
  • working on my kit I bought from darling Tia (see it here: http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=5003280)
  • it’s rainy! It’s been so sunny and nice… but I wanted a bit more rain. Hoorah!
  • My class and crops in St. Paul (in June) are doing great- I think 2 are sold out already! If you’re going to be in St. Paul in June (19-21) let me know! We’re going to have so much fun at Scrapbook Shop with Rhonda and crew!!!
  • salads can rock. I found the one pictured below at the grocery store all boxed up where those lame ‘salad in a bag’ that are really just lettuce are kept. This was yum. cheese, nuts, apricot (dried), apple, and even cute forks! Can’t wait to consume another…

TGIF and all that everybody! I’m taking a 3 day weekend- so I’ll see you next week!

create, love, create…

It’s in beginning stages…

but I think it has potential. It’s a 8×10 canvas piece I’m working on. I so totally love doing stuff like this… but I always say “I don’t have time”. Ah but I can’t stand it when people say that! MAKE TIME! So since I can only do little bits at a time (lots of painting and layering and detail and waiting going on here…) I’m fitting her in. Can’t wait to finish and share. Canvas makes me a bit intimidated, so i just dive into my little kid play mode and try to forget pressure and expectation. FUN!

I love lilacs, in fact I want to plant more. (but) my big problem is that I won’t cut them to enjoy inside because I want them lasting long as possible outside. But then I don’t see them all the time… so new rule. 2-3 blossoms in the house at a time. They smell SO good. I love how they’ve transformed the kitchen with their scent. Must enjoy them NOW inside.

Oh, and Lilacs are one of my favorite things to photograph. LOVE lilac photos.
