Fridays in March with DCWV

Congrats to Nicole (I emailed you!) for being the first DCWV winner from last week’s post!

This week I’m taking a look at some adhesive-backed fabric paper that really has my mind spinning with ideas. This comes with 12 sheets (two of each pattern) and what I really like aside from the lovely patterns is that it’s a nice thin adhesive back fabric that you could tear, cut, punch, or use as a whole sheet.

I used several of the sheets (torn, covering tag, die cut, cut out…) on this tag:

I also stamped and inked all over my tag – but that’s it! A little distress stickles, some inked up stamps, and this came together. You can see how I was able to fray the edges – love that look. I was also able to cut a bit into the fabric then tear for a great frayed look as well.

Are we having creative fun yet? Oh yes!

I have so many more ideas for this fabric paper. Thanks to the adhesive backing (that is super light weight and totally sew-able) I am picturing piecing squares together to make a table runner, adhering shapes to a fabric pillowcase for decorative sewing, and of course scrapbooking applications as well. You’ll see another project or two from me using this pad later this month.

Prize Time:

Would you like to win two stacks from DCWV’s latest collections? Leave a comment here to be entered for your chance to win. I will announce winner at the start of the next week’s DCWV Friday post. DCWV requests that entries be limited to within the USA.

Thank you DCWV for sponsoring these weekly give-aways!
