Craft With May

I’m a big fan of experimenting and playing with my crafting. It’s how I find new ideas and work out kinks and problems. This page didn’t turn out quite like I imagined (and so it didn’t make class ‘cut’) but that’s ok. I got some ideas and worked out some things with this- and I am happy for this to show off our Christmas card photo this year in my scrapbook.

I’ve been a sew-on-trim freak lately. In addition to my brocade/damask fixation which is still in full swing.

and if you’re wondering why you can’t see the edges of this page… well… I used a punch that’s still (shhh! secret!) under wraps so I can’t show  you! But I will soon as it gets peeked.

I know, I’m full of secret projects these days… but much to be shared coming soon!!!

So right now I’m putting finishing touches on my Big Picture class that starts in a few weeks. Sorting through photos (pre-cropping) it’s common to see bits of toes, fingers, toys, and other toddler fabulousness. This time it was a head, and I couldn’t exactly crop around…

and yep, you’re getting a sneak peek of a caramel apple page to be used in class (wink)

to post or not to post, that is the question.

When I get in one of these frenzies (ahem, as I currently am) I hesitate to post “be back in a few days” because honestly that feels so lame it’s like it’d be better to simply not post at all. So much is going on but it’s all now too stale to blog and my brain has too many thoughts to focus on creating a blog idea.

So yes here I am. I’ve got a bunch of crazy deadlines, to-do’s, and other assorted projects that I’m focusing on right now, and that’s where I’m at and what has my attention diverted. I shall return friends, with photos and much more interesting posts. Soon.

 I’m crafting up a storm here, finishing up layouts for my BPS class starting in just 30 days. So I’m doing a lot of thinking back of 2008, and I am in awe at how very much went down. This is indeed a year to remember. My walk down memory lane at this moment must be short- work calls- but I’m going to direct you to two FABULOUS posts that made my day yesterday:

Meg Cabot (oh how I love her) summed up some great ’08 points and movies as only she can.

Cathy Z talks about being ‘puffy’, and I’m right there with her! I’m down 25lbs since this time last year, but it should be more, lots more and I’m a workin’ on it!!

I’m back to work- don’t get too wild!

So, if you’re a Plum fan like me then you’re doing a antsy-dance because in 1 week the newest book (Plum Spooky) will be out. Ok, it’s a ‘between the numbers’, but still a full length fabulous adventure. I’m excited. In honor of that, I thought I’d share a few ‘plum’ happenings I’ve found.
