wwyd?

A question for you: what would you do with this (1yard) fabric?

005

It’s so girly and I love it sooo much. But what to do? Somehow it doesn’t seem right as an apron or skirt. But it’s such pure glam girl fabric I want something for ME. arg.

a purse?

a pillow case? (no… I have too many)

I’m stumped!!! input, please?!

mid-week fun.

Ok, so I totally got a SURPRISE when this box showed up:

I know. It’s all the Fiskars CHA releases for next week. I’m shocked, excited, and totally bowing to goddess, friend, and boss Steph. So yesterday I was busy fighting my printers. The one just won’t print… the other is taking photos and totally distorting how they look. Like majorly washed out and/or color crazy off. (insert me ripping hair out here)

ANYWAY. After a few hours I gave up and settled for this photo

turned black and white (and washed out) because I couldn’t wait any more to use the FABULOUS new Heidi Grace forever love line.

I’m telling myself the washed out photo can pass as ‘arty’ and I’ll pretend it’s on purpose.

SOOO PRETTY AND FUN! I love that stamp I used (Kimberly Poloson ‘nature’s flora- tapestry) and I’ll be working up lots more fun. Oh- and yep. That’s the upper crest border punch in action. (swoon) Everyone needs that punch.

I’ve got a  new border punch to give away… soon… (wink)

winnah!

featured at Fiskars Crafts today…

Ususally I’m more ‘behind the scenes’ over at Fiskars, but I’ve been in such a seasonal scrapbooking mood (hey- I’ve got a whole class on it starting next week!) that I couldn’t help myself. You can see my layout with instructions here: http://www.fiskarscrafts.com/projects/t_tisseason0109.aspx  and of course a whole lot more from the DT and talented guests as well!

Making corrugated looking accents (like photo corner below) is so easy and fun. I love the look and texture!

Miss E and her Krispy Kreme donut! One of my fave techniques right now is sprinkling glitter on wet glue around buttons and such. Feels like pixie dust magic and makes me smile.

Happy Tuesday!

projects, peeks, and fun

I am starting to feel a bit better- at least enough to do a bit of normal daily activity. I took some photos this weekend and thought I’d share-

007

I don’t know how good this is going to work… but at least the sewing area is clean-ish. I didn’t realize how much fabric I have that needs to be used. eek. guess I better get working on that. Here’s an apron pattern I want to work up, paper I want to scrap with, and a Fiskars punch (yes, a drool-worthy new CHA release!) I want to play more with.

My cousin sewed me the most wicked “M” shaped monsters for christmas. Here’s one that I get to see every time I’m crafting or on my computer.

I adore this postcard- so much so it’s been on display in here for years. I bought the spray of glittery hearts/balls on a whim at Michaels and I don’t know what to do with it. I may leave it sitting in a cup ‘o glitter just to be pretty. I do love pretty pink sparkly things.

Finally, I found this pair of lucky lady scissors. I was gonna save them for next Sunday (25th, 7pm PST) when I host a chat over at www.fiskateers.com, but what the heck. Let’s give ’em away here and now!

I made a layout for www.fiskarscrafts.com/projects “layout a day” and I’ll share when it is officially up- for now here’s a sneaky peek…

Have a happy day- I’ll be crafting and back to share more with you tomorrow!
