Poppy Ink + 28 Lilac Lane

What is better than sequins & buttons & beads? Adding in floral stamps! I’m excited to be a part of a Buttons Galore + Poppystamps blog hop today. If you’re joining from Michelle’s blog, welcome! My lovely blog readers if you’ve begun here you can find a full list of participating blogs (and some fun info!) at the end of this post.

For my project I’m playing with a card – and some watercolor magic. First you draw a circle in a pale color of watercolor pen. This will be the base of your wreath and don’t worry – it is going to fully disappear!

Then stamp (archival ink) your stamps! I used Poppystamp’s Scribbles set (link). Go around the circle creating a full wreath. Once done it is color time. The markers I’m using are Clean Color – but any colors will work here! Just begin coloring, blending, and having fun!

Once the coloring is done, add some gold flecks of mist (if you like), add your sentiment, and mount your watercolor creation onto a folded card. If more contrast is needed – just pick up a pen and add detail.

Ahhh… but now it gets REALLY fun because we pull out all the beads, sequins, and buttons and go to town! A wreath like mine is the perfect place for 28 Lilac Lane embellishments – of course! I recommend either a clear glossy medium (think glossy accents) or PPA matte adhesive that dries invisible.

Remember that when it comes to my 28 Lilac Lane line you can find them all on the BGM website. (and keep reading for a special discount code!)

I hope you’ve liked my easy & fun watercolor card. I just love how this was so simple and fun to create!
