Getting a jump start on my month…

Today I was down at Scrapbook Territory teaching – SO much fun. I *love* this tea party class (a few kits will be available next week for sale – I’ll post info here).

I’m thrilled to teach it again next weekend in Elk Grove at Stampers Corner for National Scrapbook Day! I’ve already got my bag re-packed for that- and if you’re in the Sacramento area I hope to see you there!!

Ok, so here are a few photos from today’s class…

This class, was most definitely a tea party (We had iced tea, treats, etc)… but more importantly it was a CREATIVE party. Freedom to explore and experiment, six projects provided that you could create – or you could choose to run in your own direction and try something totally unique!

Lots of detail… lots of fun goodies…

mini cupcakes are truffles from Cost Plus. The cupcakes are a new recipe I tried – and I’ll share recipe for those tomorrow!!

Such a great group of ladies today – I always have such FUN teaching or attending classes. Love it!! Speaking of classes – I’m on COUNTDOWN! You see, when it’s May 1 (in a few hours here) it’s time for May with May!! www.bigpicturescrapbooking.com/maywithmay.php

I’ve decided to celebrate that – and my month – and crafting – and just because I’m a HAPPY kind of girl…

you’re going to find LOADS here on my blog. DAILY.

tutorials. give aways. favorites. recipes. celebrating my favorite companies.

More posting than normal for sure – and extras as I think of them. I’m ready for my month. Bring it on!!

You should know that I’m not afraid to just be myself. I’ve never in my life been considered a “cool” girl. Fashionista, hip, trendy, thin, bored, difficult to entertain, and doesn’t like to eat are descriptive words that have never been applied to me. In fact, I’m still very much attached to childhood me – I’ve grown up… but I’m still that same essential ME. It’s one of the things I like best about myself. I’m nothing, if not consistently ME.

and both 12 year old me (pictured above) and 31 year old me (sitting here typing this now) do enjoy a good craft session. I hope you’ll join me.

Questions? Let me know!! I’m always happy to talk scrapbooking…

for the record it was CLASH day, and I took great pride in gathering my family’s best (worst?) pieces of clothing and combining them into this ensemble.

Spring Break 2011

Today ends our 2 week spring break. Tomorrow is back to school for Elizabeth. I’m looking over my iphone photos, thinking about what to order, making mental notes for scrapbook layouts… and wow. It was a BUSY vacation!! Here’s a few highlights:

  • Overnight trip to Monterey (Aquarium, mostly)
  • Art days at home + one full art day at Grandma’s
  • meeting Auntie Briana’s baby horses + many more horsies
  • Going to see Hop with daddy (everyone loved this – especially me who didn’t have to go)
  • visit from the Easter Bunny
  • Too many calories (so worth it)
  • E looses her 4th tooth! (and also gets food poisoning… ugh)
  • I prepare for loads of classes (more on that tomorrow!)
  • Jason’s birthday!
  • 2 girls from class have birthday parties that Miss E attends
  • I get closer to cleaning studio completely than EVER before!! Still working!!

So yeah… lot going on here. I’ve put my favorite iPhone photos into a video montage if you’d like to see… there’s family fun pics + crafty sneak peeks too…
