10 projects for Christmas: frame

$1 frame + sticky back canvas + scrap supplies (the Girls’ Paperie, in my case) = cute decor and/or giftable!

I also used Tim Holtz distress crackle paint (rock candy) to accent. LOVE that stuff!

Good idea: 2011 planner

Do you know about Per Annum? They’re a company that I’ve long loved – they make all kinds of things a list and organization loving girl like me drools over. My favorite though, has to be the annual planner. Why?! Well because you can turn it into a scrapbook of sorts. It’s got protectors where you can slide a piece of paper in as well as daily and monthly calendars.

You can use it to make a real ‘slice of life’ scrapbook, or just stick pictures in and call it good. I LOVE the simpicity and beauty of this product!!

Mine is 6″ x 8″ and I’ve already started playing with customizing it. I LOVE that the cover is yours to do what you want with too!

I’m already filling stuff in and thinking about ideas for my entries. I love that I have space to doodle down funny little stories and details that I can refer back to for my scrapbook layouts – AND I can do a bit of memory keeping right in this book.

Have I mentioned I LOVE these things?!

I’m not just bragging either… I’ve got the give-away shown above to share!!!

That’s right. The good people at Per Annum sent me this 4×6 planner AND this amazing 2011 Calendar featuring Lisa Flanagan’s commute photography of NYC to give away. How cool is that?! Ok so if you’d like to be entered to win just leave a comment here. I’ll draw a winner in about a week… good luck!

10 projects for Christmas: Configurations

I have been SO excited to get my hands on and play with some of Tim’s Configurations boxes. Here’s my first attempt…

I’m not entirely sure I am finished with this project, but dang it was a blast.

Tips:

  1. Don’t have to use all the boxes. I took some out (and will show you what I did with those some other time)
  2. Have a better plan than I did! While I love this – my “put the base together then fill in with stuff that fits” was HARD. I would have been better off making a pile of items/things I wished to use FIRST, then decide the configuration.
  3. Go slow. I worked on bits and pieces, then walked. This was fun plus I never got tired of it.
  4. Pull it apart and you can easily get 2 or more projects from the one set!

Most of all though, ENJOY…

Yummy Kaiser Craft tags.

Honestly – I find more stuff from them all the time that I just simply LOVE. Their Christmas stuff is no exception.

The holly stamp + these mini tags = some of my favorites this season. LOVE the applications both on scrapbook layouts + gifty stuff.

In fact – you can check out this project I did over on the Ella blog (http://www.ellapublishing.com/blog) today! You’ll see that holly stamp all over my holiday stuff this year. It’s gotten a lot of use.

I’ve just finished another (super quick) gift bag:

Whatever you’re into – I wish you happy crafting!! 🙂

10 projects for Christmas: little box

This project is super easy – some mist, some fabulous Girls’ Paperie products, a kraft jewelry box (purchased at Michael’s for about 50 cents), and a little ink.

It was super quick, easy, and FUN! Plus I like to think whoever gets it will love the custom wrap I did for their gift card. I like dressing up gift cards…

I made a video I’m not real happy with… but I’ll share it anyways in case you want to see how I hold my iPhone, shoot a video, and make this project all at the same time. Yeah, really.

I added some stickers and mist after I turned the camera off – I think that’s about it.

Happy {Holiday} crafting!!
