If you’ve got spare time…

I’m taking a blog break for a while. If you’re checking in here though, and have some time to kill then here are some of my suggestions…

whatever you’re up to- enjoy and have a great day! I’ll be back to blogging some time around May 8…

I’m taking a blog break for a while. If you’re checking in here though, and have some time to kill then here are some of my suggestions…

whatever you’re up to- enjoy and have a great day! I’ll be back to blogging some time around May 8…

from me to you:

Well with family parties and life and such… I really have about 2 days ‘full’ that I can utilize to work and prepare for my upcoming trip. So it’s crazy. But yet I am here blogging. Go figure. The one HUGE travel revelation I will share with you is this:

pick a color. Black or brown. Choose one, build your wardrobe around it. A few years back I could only bring 1 nice pair of shoes, purse, etc… but needed 3 nice outfits. Some needed black shoes, some brown. Right then and there I decided that unless something came along that just rocked my world, I would only buy nice clothes that would work with brown shoes. (t-shirts and such don’t count, of course) So, brown is my neutral color. Doing this has made packing for travel tremendously easier and lighter. Seriously. I still have a few random ‘black based’ nice clothing pieces, but they are for from-home only. Not for travel.

I am uploading photos to costco.com so that I can pick them up this afternoon. I found a few pics that I feel like sharing here. First- I really rock at making apple pie. Here is the last slice. (sigh) It was good while it lasted. Sadly, I only got 2 pieces. This summer I hope to try my hand at some berry pies. But no time for that now. Moving on.

Rebecca is, indeed a human cupcake. So sweet and cute and irresistible.

New kicks = fun photo shoot. Elizabeth and her daddy are both in love with her new sneakers. Especially daddy who loves that she’s wearing Vans. The whole outfit here is fashion by daddy. Elizabeth just loves having new shoes to show off and scuff up. She wants them to come on “bay-cation” and I think they just might.

This is from the jelly belly factory. They make all kinds of chocolates and such too. See those ‘muffins’ behind E? They are pure chocolate and stuff. No ‘cake’, just chocolate filled goodness. it’s too much for me- but I’m sure they would be cool to share or something.

Well back to uploading to costco and packing things up. Already done with about 43 of the 2345 things on today’s to-do list, so that is a GREAT thing!!!

4.24 (scrapbook) LOVE LIST

  1. www.apeekintoyesterday. Not only do they carry the only cardstock I like to use (Prism), but they are fast on orders and have great service. I *need* some cardstock ASAP… I ordered it an hour ago and already have a ship notice! “peek” rocks!!
  2. Sugared. Not only is sugar my favorite food group, but Basic Grey named this collection after it, AND made it yummy colors I can’t resist. (not that I normally resist anything from BG)
  3. heidi grace heart (rain-dot like) accents. I love them SO much… I can’t even give any extras away. seriously. I’m sick. I love them too much. When I find a source for them I’ll share for sure. You can see 3 of them on the layout below (rigth next to the ‘beautiful’ sticker)…
  4. making round layouts from dinner plates. craft knife + dinner plate = round layout. perfect. simple. no circle cutting tools required.

(the round layout is using Heidi Grace ‘little birds tale), which is sitting atop a heidi grace ‘baby’ page…)

I’m off to continue packing, photograph the process, and I’ll report back soon.

donut, good.

My brain is bursting to the point of breaking. I have so many deep thoughts, crafting revelations, links, information, secrets, and projects I want to share with you all. But right now, at this moment all I have to say is this.

donut, good.

Thanks to Jason for bringing home our quarterly donuts. Yes, I said quarterly. About every 3-4 months he stops at the Krispy Kreme he passes coming home from work in the morning and brings us over-sugared, highly fatty treats. Thank you. Much needed.

I promise to get back to quality posts about the random minutia of my highly glamourous life, but first there is a stinky diaper and lunch requests to fill and dishes to be scrubbed…
